In three hours you learn how to:

handle your bike confidently on city and country roads, on firm and loose/irregular surfaces

gesture (nice+firm) and shout so drivers see and obey you

use the CyclingMindset© to be positive, alert and Crash Free

start, stop, shift and brake with ease and confidence

I give plenty of after class help, and a ‘My Progress’ tracking sheet.
You also have lots of support from other students.

I also coach you through these important issues:

your bike’s fit - not being comfortable can mean less safe cycling for you

route selection

small group riding techniques: especially important when riding with children and teens

clothing for visibility, comfort, no-snag

The Crash Free Forever Rodeo is:

for ages 8 and up

either for “Families” or “Adults”, as noted in calendar, and adjusted by age and ability for ‘all succeed” results

3 hours long

for no more than 15 students

held either at the BIKEmpowered School Site in NE Portland or your neighborhood.
