So as soon as the weather starts to break, BIKEmpowered will be hosting a string of neighborhood treasure hunt rides as a way to get to know good routes and resources (a good subtitle for the rides actually – routes and resources) in most every neighborhood. For example:

We all meet at a deli for a little pre-ride snack, ride to a community center or other resource in the ‘hood, get a tour of their facilities, then ride to a grocery store, pick up some fun picnic items, then to tree planting to help out, eat our snack food, maybe buy a little extra to ride over and give to the local food pantry.

Any mix of fun, local resources and maybe some community service would be terrific.
